In July 2021, we launched the Tel Aviv Heat as Israel’s first professional rugby team and set out to build a team to compete with the best of Europe’s Tier 2 nations while elevating rugby in Israel.

We continue to be amazed by the passion, admiration, and support the Tel Aviv Heat has attracted from fans, players, and rugby clubs in Israel and around the world.

As season two of the Rugby Europe Super Cup kicks off, we invite you to join the Tel Aviv Heat family as an official member of the Tel Aviv Heat Supporters Club.

The Tel Aviv Heat brings together players from all over the world, from young soldiers in the Israeli army to seasoned internationals sharing elite skills, knowledge, and experience gained through competing in Rugby World Cups, Olympic gold medal matches, and the highest levels of professional rugby.

By focusing on rugby’s core values – community, passion, integrity, discipline, and respect – the Tel Aviv Heat has built a team culture dedicated to supporting players’ growth and development, giving them the freedom to express themselves, and providing opportunities for them to get the most out of the game and their time together.

Through word of mouth and sharing the Tel Aviv Heat’s journey on social media, players and fans alike have been drawn to our unique balance of skilled, strong, physical, attacking rugby on the pitch along with camaraderie, singing, and joyous adventure off the pitch.

And as the Tel Aviv Heat continues to grow and develop, so does rugby in Israel. Using the Heat as a foundation, Heat players and coaches contribute to Israeli rugby through leading youth clinics, integrating into Israeli clubs, serving in key roles that propelled Israel to the Maccabi gold medal in 7s and South Africa to the Maccabi gold medal in 15s, encompassing Israeli national team players within the Heat’s March 2022 South African Tour, and representing Israel in international 15s and 7s competitions.

From inspiring Israeli youth to take up rugby, to raising the standards of local club competition, to building an enduring high performance environment that attracts elite players to move to Israel and make aliyah, the Tel Aviv Heat seeks to transform Israel into a rugby nation that will vie for spots in the Olympics and Rugby World Cups.
